Recruiting Roundup: Cyclones add ’23 WR, announce official visit dates for June

Welcome to this week’s recruiting roundup, where we recap the week Iowa State had on the trail and everything you might have missed through the days:

Wide Receiver Michael Parks commits to 2023 class:
Iowa State earned its seventh commitment of the 2023 recruiting class in Michael Parkes, a wide receiver from Florida who was born and grew up in Jamaica.

Parkes chose the Cyclones over West Virginia, Indiana, Pittsburgh and Mississippi State among others, becoming the first receiver to put his name in the group.

Iowa State will have a busy weekend in June, with a number of prospects and already-committed athletes taking official visits to the school the weekend of June 10-12.

Florida OT Bryce Lovett to announce commitment Monday:
Iowa State made the top four list for Florida offensive tackle Bryce Lovett, who will announce his commitment on Instagram Live (@_official_bryce) at 10:50 a.m. CT.

Iowa State, Florida, Missouri and Louisville are the schools in the mix for Lovett.

We caught up with the new JUCO defensive back commits:
Iowa State earned commitments from a pair of junior college defensive backs this month.

Treyveon McGee talked about coming to Iowa State with no other FBS offers and Blake Thompson spoke on choosing the program over Missouri and Kansas.

Offers go out to another pair of JUCO targets:
Iowa State isn’t done with its recruiting for the upcoming season. The Cyclones extended offers to a pair of JUCO players this week in LJ Hewitt and Savion Herring.

Hewitt, a cornerback from Mississippi Gulf Coast CC, holds offers from Florida Atlantic, Florida International and Northern Iowa among others.

Herring, on the other hand, is out of Monroe College and has also been offered by Temple, Buffalo, Kent State and Toledo.

Iowa State has begun to piece together its 2025 offer sheet:
The Cyclones have extended offers to another pair of 2025 recruits, including Ohio quarterback Tavien St. Clair.

The Bellefontaine prospect has four offers thus far, with Pittsburgh, Tennessee and Central Michigan getting in the mix early.

The Cyclones also offered Arizona cornerback Dajon Hinton, who holds three offers to date.

Arizona and Louisville have extended offers to the young recruit:
