Iowa State has found itself a special teams coach.
Former Central Michigan head coach and Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams senior coaching assistant John Bonamego has been added to the staff in Ames to assist the Cyclones with special teams.
Bonamego’s official title will come be as the Senior Special Teams Analyst, rightfully so, as he’s worked for six different NFL organizations with a focus on that part of the game.
The hire fills Iowa State’s spot for a special teams coordinator and gets the program off of the list of Power 5 schools that had yet to hire one or hold vacant spots at the moment.
Bonamego’s full bio can be seen here on Cyclones.com.
