Iowa State added a fourth player to its 2023 recruiting class Wednesday night, with the news of four-star wing Addy Brown‘s commitment to the program.
The Cyclones are preparing to face off with UT Arlington on Friday night in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in Ames, but remain diligent in the recruiting process adding the Kansas native.
Brown committed to Iowa State over Oklahoma State, TCU, Kansas State and Texas Tech and will head to Iowa State following her senior year in high school that begins in the fall.
The addition is Iowa State’s fourth to the 2023 class for the program, joining Arianna Jackson, Jaylin Bristow and Kelsey Joens – a sibling of Ashley and Aubrey.
Coach Bill Fennelly attributes it to the sustained success in Ames.
“I think, to be honest with you, our recruiting has benefited because of the longevity of our success,” Fennelly said. “When you start talking about stability and the way our university embraces our program, the leadership of our university, our community, all those things go into it. But sure, this year has given us another boost.”
Iowa State will still have at least one scholarship remaining for the class and could have more depending on how COVID years transpire.
