Iowa State is among the top-seven for one of the nation’s top 2021 combo guards.
Kansas City, Kan. native, and IMG Academy student, Tamar Bates announced his top-seven schools on Monday with the Cyclones, Creighton, Kansas, Missouri, Oregon and Alabama making the cut.
Bates, a 6-foot-4, 175-pound four-star prospect, is considered the No. 113 player in the country, No. 8 combo guard and No. 14 player from Kansas in the 2021 recruiting class. He also held offers from major programs such as Kansas State, Colorado, Oklahoma, Northwestern, Oklahoma State, Texas and Virginia Tech.
Iowa State currently holds one commitment in the 2021 recruiting cycle in Wisconsin point guard Tyrese Hunter. The Cyclones are expected to have three scholarships open for the 2021 recruiting class at this time.
