RECRUITING: Cyclones land commitment from Colorado safety

Iowa State added another piece to its 2021 football recruiting class on Sunday.

Colorado safety Beau Freyler announced his pledge to Matt Campbell’s program on his Twitter account. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound three-star recruit chose the Cyclones over more than 20 other offers, including a handful of Power 5 programs.

Freyler is considered the No. 125 safety in the country and No. 13 player in the state of Colorado by 247Sports. His list of offers also includes Arizona, Michigan State, Kansas State, Nebraska and Wisconsin.

Iowa State now holds 13 commitments in its class that is rated as the No. 29 group of pledges in the country and No. 4 class in the Big 12.
