RECRUITING: Cyclones land commitment from second Ohio linebacker in as many days

Iowa State’s top-25 2021 recruiting class continues to grow.

The Cyclones added a commitment from Wadsworth, Ohio linebacker Carston Marshall on Friday when he tweeted his commitment to Matt Campbell’s program.

Marshall, a 6-foot-3, 195-pound three-star, is considered the No. 111 outside linebacker prospect in the country by 247Composite. He chose Iowa State over offers from Princeton, Akron, Army, Toledo, Buffalo and Western Michigan.

The Cyclones now hold 11 commitments in their 2021 recruiting class with more than half of them coming this month. Marshall is the second linebacker from Ohio to join the class in as many days.

Iowa State currently has the No. 24 class in the country and No. 4 class in the Big 12.
