What’s next for Iowa State basketball?

According to a source, Iowa State is beginning it’s construction of the 2020-21 roster with a handful of graduate transfers, all of whom would make an immediate impact next season.

More names will be popping up in the coming days but three we can identify at this point in the process are:

Bryce Aiken, 6-0, 175-pound G (Harvard) — This will be a tough one to pull as Aiken, who averaged 16.7 points per game as a senior last season, will be one of the most sought after grad transfers in the nation this spring. Aiken is a career north of 40 percent 3-point shooter. Again, it’s important to point out that the competition here will be stiff, as Aiken has already reportedly received interest from the likes of Michigan, Seton Hall, Marquette, Kansas, Gonzaga and Maryland. I’m told that Iowa State has some sort of a connection to Aiken, which puts the Cyclones in the ball game.

Darius Perry, 6-foot-2, 195-pound G (Louisville) — A former four-star high school prospect signed with Louisville under Rick Pitino. His career never blossomed during the craziness of that era. Perry averaged 5.2 points per game as a junior under Chris Mack. The list will likely grow, but competition right now consists mainly of Marquette and Arkansas. Perry was a 39 percent 3-point shooter as a junior for the Cardinals.

Tahj Eaddy, 6-foot-2, 165-pound G (Santa Clara) — Averaged 9.1 points per game while shooting 40 percent from the field. Eaddy has already narrowed his list down to a top five, consisting of: Iowa State, UConn, Georgia Tech, USC and Wichita State.
