RECRUITING: Cyclones land three-star Texas wide receiver

Iowa State landed another major piece for its 2020 recruiting class on Sunday when three-star wide receiver Daniel Jackson announced his pledge to the Cyclones via his Twitter account.

Jackson, a 6-foot-1, 209-pound Cibolo, Texas native, chose the Cyclones over offers from Arizona State, USC, Arizona, Arkansas, Baylor, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kansas State, North Carolina, Oklahoma State, TCU, Utah and a host of other FBS programs. Rated as the No. 478 player overall and No. 84 wide receiver in the 2020 class by 247Composite, Jackson visited Ames the weekend of June 14 between visits to Arizona State and USC.

The commitment is Iowa State’s 17th in the 2020 recruiting cycle and the third wide receiver along with Florida pass-catcher Aidan Bitter and JUCO prospect Xavier Hutchinson. The Cyclones’ class is currently rated as the No. 32 class in the country and No. 3 class in the Big 12.
