Iowa State picked up its second basketball commitment in a week on Saturday.
Javan Johnson – a 6-foot-7, forward from Troy – made his pledge to the Cyclones on Saturday during his official visit. Johnson, who will have two years of eligibility at Iowa State, will have to sit out the 2019-20 season due to NCAA transfer rules.
Johnson averaged 10.4 points and 4.2 rebounds as a sophomore at Troy last season. Johnson entered himself into the transfer portal in April after Troy fired its head coach Phil Cunningham.
