Former Iowa State star Georges Niang is expected to sign a two-way contract with the Utah Jazz. Niang, who was taken by the Indiana Pacers with the No. 50 pick in the 2016 NBA draft, has played the first 26 games of this season with the Santa Cruz Warriors.
Niang has averaged 18.4 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game in his time with the Golden State G-League affiliate. He is the third Cyclone to sign a two-way deal this season.
Unfortunately, the Jazz is expected to waive former Cyclone Naz Mitrou-Long in order to make room for Niang on the roster. Mitrou-Long appeared in one game, scoring three points in one minute, for the Jazz last month.
