Former Iowa State point guard Monte Morris made his NBA debut Tuesday night and did so in typical Monte fashion. The Cyclones’ all-time leader in assists dished out one assist with zero turnovers in three minutes.

Fittingly, the Flint, Mich. native’s debut with the Denver Nuggets came during a 103-84 win at Detroit with Morris’ mother in the stands. He is the 25th former Cyclone to play in an NBA game.

Morris is also the fourth member of Iowa State’s 2014-15 team to play in the NBA,  joining Georges Niang, Abdel Nader, and Bryce Dejean-Jones. The Nuggets will head to Boston Tuesday night to take on the Celtics and Nader on Wednesday.
