Iowa State senior forward Hans Brase will not play Wednesday night against Maryland Eastern Shore due to a sprained ankle suffered in practice, according to a report by the Ames Tribune‘s Travis Hines.
Our own Chris Williams reports Brase is expected to return in time for Iowa State’s Big 12 opener against Kansas State on Dec. 29. He will be re-evaluated when the team returns from its Christmas break early next week.
The loss of Brase leaves Iowa State with only seven available players for Wednesday night’s game against the Hawks. Sophomore guard Jakolby Long will dress for the contest, but will not be available to play while junior forward Zoran Talley is still out with a stress fracture in his foot.
