Freshman forward Terrence Lewis has been diagnosed with a strained left knee, according to a report by the Ames Tribune‘s Travis Hines. Lewis suffered the injury during Sunday night’s Capital City League championship game.
Lewis scored 32 points and grabbed nine rebounds before hitting the court after finishing a layup late in the second half of the title game. He did not return to action as his Doerrfeld Promotions squad’s comeback bid came up just short against Sparta Waste Services in a 109-107 loss.
Obviously, it was surely disappointing for Lewis to watch his team’s run come up short from the bench, but it is equally as, or even more, encouraging to know his injury won’t have much of an impact on his availability for the upcoming season.
