Former Iowa State forward Deonte Burton has signed to play next season in the Korean Basketball League, according to a report by the Ames Tribune‘s Travis Hines.
I honestly have no clue which of the league’s 10 teams Burton will be playing for in 2017-18. I can tell you he was taken with the sixth pick in the league’s draft, but, and this may come as a surprise, information on the Korean Basketball League isn’t exactly readily available on the internet.
Nonetheless, if Burton can be suiting up for the Busan KT Sonicboom, Goyang Orion Orions (because one Orion just isn’t enough) or Incheon ET Land Elephants it will be amazing. Props to Deonte for finding a home at the next level and here’s to hoping his thunderous dunks are what puts Korean basketball on the map.
