Matt Campbell has made updating Iowa State’s image on the field one of his top priorities since arriving in Ames in December of 2015. The program took steps forward in 2016 with the unveiling of white helmets and gray uniforms, but those changes are only the beginning.

Campbell confirmed on Wednesday during the Cyclone Tailgate Tour stop in Clear Lake that more changes could be coming to the Cyclones’ uniforms in the not so distant future.

“We definitely will,” Campbell said. “Whether that comes this year in totality, I don’t know, but I can tell you our entire image will change here shortly. That’s something we’re really big on.”

There are still details to be ironed out between Iowa State and the school’s contract with Nike. With that said, don’t be surprised to see further changes to the uniforms come as soon as 2017.

“I think what you’ll see is our image and our brand continue to grow in a multitude of different ways,” Campbell said. “I think there will definitely be some things that appear this year, and in the years that follow you’ll see a big change.”
