Georges Niang couldn’t have drawn up a better NBA preseason debut.
The former Cyclone scored 12 points to go with eight rebounds in 19 minutes as the Indiana Pacers topped New Orleans 113-96 on Tuesday night. Niang went 5-of-11 from the field while 2-of-6 from 3-point range.
Ironically, Niang and Indiana’s next two games are against – you guessed it – Fred Hoiberg’s Chicago Bulls on Thursday and Saturday.
