Iowa State is headed to Maui in 2018. The Cyclones will play in the prestigious Maui Invitational in November 2018, the school announced on Wednesday.
Duke, Gonzaga, Arizona, Illinois, Xavier, San Diego State and Auburn make up the rest of the field. This will be the first time the tournament field includes eight Division I programs in its 35-year history.
Iowa State last played in Maui in 1990 when Johnny Orr’s squad went 1-2 with a win over Chaminade and losses to Syracuse and Santa Clara. All 12 Maui games will be broadcast on the ESPN family of networks.
The tournament will take place Nov. 19-21 at Maui’s Lahaina Civic Center.
