Former Iowa State guard DeAndre Kane’s bank account had a pretty good Tuesday.
Kane helped lead Overseas Elite to a win in the championship game of The Basketball Tournament, and reportedly earned $174 thousand of the $2 million awarded to the champions.
TBT is made up of teams composed of former pros, college stars and other guys from all walks of life. Former Texas guard Myck Kabongo and former St. Johns guard DJ Kennedy were a couple of the other notable names on Kane’s team.
Overseas Elite beat a squad made up of former Colorado Buffaloes in the final. They upset No. 1 seed City of Gods, who featured former NBA lottery pick Dermarr Johnson, in the semi-finals.
