AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State men’s basketball team has announced its 2016-17 non-conference schedule, which includes at minimum three games against teams that advanced to the NCAA Tournament a year ago. The Big 12 schedule, which is expected to be released in August, will feature 12 of 18 games against tourney qualifiers.
Following an exhibition game against the University of Sioux Falls on Sunday, Nov. 6, Iowa State opens the regular season at home against Savannah State. The home schedule is highlighted by a visit from Cincinnati on Thursday, Dec. 1. Iowa State visits Iowa for an Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series matchup on Thursday, Dec. 8.
