AMES, Iowa – Iowa State head men’s basketball coach Steve Prohm announced Monday that freshman Brady Ernst will transfer from the program.
“We wish Brady the best in the future and appreciate his effort last season,” Prohm said. “He worked very hard for our program and I’ve enjoyed having the chance to coach him.”
Ernst saw action in six games before missing the remainder of the season because of issues with his knee, which was still recovering from an ACL tear suffered late during his senior year of high school. The Clinton, Iowa native averaged 0.3 points in 2.3 minutes as a freshman.
Iowa State has applied for a medical redshirt on Ernst’s behalf.
