Four Cyclones sign as undrafted free agents

Iowa State didn’t have a players selected in the NFL draft for the second season in a row this weekend but four Cyclones have already signed deals as undrafted free agents. Former Cyclones Jamison Lalk, Quenton Bundrage, Oni Omoile and Dale Pierson have all agreed to contracts at the next level.

Lalk signed with the Buffalo Bills after starting 31 games for the Cyclones during his career. The Council Bluffs, Abraham Lincoln graduate was named second team All-Big 12 after moving to center full-time during his senior season.

Bundrage has agreed to a deal with the New York Jets. The former Cyclone wide receiver finished his career second in program history in touchdown catches with 15. He caught four touchdown passes during his senior season after suffering a season-ending ACL tear on the first offensive series during his junior year. He tied the school record of nine touchdown catches during a standout sophomore year.

Omoile joins his former Cyclones, and cousin, Kelechi Osemele after signing a deal with the Oakland Raiders. The Coppell, Texas, native started 21 games along the offensive line during his career including 11 during his senior year.

Pierson signed with the Green Bay Packers after being named second team All-Big 12 during his senior season. He tied Iowa State’s school record for sacks in a season during his senior year with 8.5. He finished his career with 70 tackles, 17 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks in 14 starts.

We’ll update this page if more Cyclones find homes at the next level.
