The Associated Press broke a disturbing story on Monday afternoon that involves former Iowa State point guard Nikki Moody and head coach Bill Fennelly.
The AP is reporting that Moody, a four-year starter and the all-time assist leader at Iowa State, is suing Fennelly, Iowa State University and the state of Iowa for racial discrimination and retaliation.
According to the Luke Meredith report, Moody claims that the discrimination led to a "hostile education environment through racial harassment.”
Moody’s senior season (two years ago) at Iowa State was a tumultuous one where she missed the season’s two exhibition games due to a "violation of team rules."
