It’s still way too early to know exactly what Matt Campbell’s offense will look like at Iowa State but he has one fantastic piece to work with during the 2016 season.
That’s Mike Warren, Iowa State’s running back who ran for 1,339 yards as a freshman, which topped all other rookies in college football. Warren, who barely played in the first two games of the season, averaged 111.6 yards per game on the ground.
Overall, Warren was the 24th leading rusher in college football and the third best in the Big 12. He averaged 5.9 yards per carry and got into the end zone five times during Iowa State’s three-win campaign.
