Trever Ryen, you’ve earned it.
Tuesday afternoon, Iowa State athletics announced on Cyclones.com and Twitter that the running back from Ida Grove had been given a scholarship.
Coach Paul Rhoads announced the news during a team meeting, according to ISU Athletics Communications.
Ryen scored his first career touchdown on an 81-yard punt return late in the season-opening win over Northern Iowa.
Ryen’s rushed seven times for 36 yards and a touchdown in the past two games — and also has four catches for 80 yards in this season.
