Christofferson, Johnson lead Cyclones to Vegas win

The following is a press release courtesy of Iowa State athletics communications.

LAS VEGAS  – Behind 20-point performances by Hallie Christofferson and Seanna Johnson the 23rd-ranked Iowa State women’s basketball team (5-0, 0-0 Big 12) downed Eastern Washington (0-4, 0-0 Big Sky) 88-60 at South Point Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. With the win, Iowa State improved to 5-0 on the season.

How it Happened:

Iowa State used a 20-point first-half performance by Hallie Christofferson to lead Eastern Washington 50-27 at the half. As a team, the Cyclones shot 53 percent from the field and went a perfect 10-of-10 from the line in the first half. The 23-point deficit was too much for the Eagles to overcome as they entered the second-half. EWU would never take the lead in the game.
