Iowa State’s senior linebacker Jake Knott just picked up his first hardware of 2012.
After recording six tackles and a game-clinching interception in Saturday’s 9-6 win over Iowa, Knott has been named the Big 12’s Defensive Player of the Week. Knott and the Cyclones held Iowa’s rushing attack to only 68 yards on 28 attempts.

It is notable that Iowa State’s punter Kirby Van Der Kamp was named the Big 12’s Special Teams Player of the Week last Monday as well.
