A strong second half pushed the Iowa State women’s basketball team to a 79-28 exhibition win over Rockhurst on Sunday evening.
The Cyclones outscored Rockhurst 47-14 in the second half.
Chelsea Poppens and Hallie Christofferson led the way for Iowa State scoring 17 points each.
Christopherson and Kelsey Harris each made three 3-pointers in the win.
Iowa State out-rebounded Rockhurst 48-29.
Up next for the Cyclones is Friday night’s season opener against Houston Baptist. The game is scheduled to tip at 7 p.m.
