Iowa State’s recent upset football victory of Oklahoma State is paying off on the recruiting trail. The Cyclones picked up their third verbal commitment since the big win on Friday, when Clifford Stokes, a 6-foot-1, 175-pound cornerback out of Trinity Valley Community College in Athens, Texas, chose Iowa State.
According to his profile on Rivals.com, Stokes chose Iowa State over offers from Baylor, Kansas, Minnesota, Houston and Western Kentucky.
Stokes is the 18th known commitment in Iowa State’s 2012 class.
