The Big 12 Conference has released its preseason football media poll. As you should have expected, Iowa State didn’t get much love. The media voted Iowa State to place sixth in the Big 12 North. Here’s a look at the preseason rankings with first place votes in parenthesis.
North Division
1 – Nebraska (26) 156
2- Missouri 125
3 – Kansas State 79
4 – Kansas 70
5 – Colorado 61
6 – Iowa State 55
South Division
1 – Oklahoma (16) 146
2 – Texas (10) 140
3 – Texas A&M 97
4 – Texas Tech 68

This isn’t something to get too ticked off about Fanatics. We should have all seen this coming. Iowa State really does have the toughest schedule in America this season. When you combine that with all of the new faces on defense, the media picking the Clones sixth is not a surprise. It is just more motivation for this team that will have its back against the way each and every Saturday.
