Owners Box: Time to step up

By Jason Loutsch, CycloneFanatic.com’s primary owner It is time to step up Cyclone Fanatics. It is time to bear the cardinal and gold like never before. We have some of the best fans in the nation. Our men’s basketball team needs us right now more than ever, so right now, through adversity, let’s show them our support.

Like all of you, I was shocked last night when I heard about Lucca Staiger leaving the team. I’m not happy that he left the team, but to me, it seems pretty obvious that he doesn’t want to be here anymore. When you head into the bulk of the Big 12 season, it is best to not have people on your team who don’t want to be there.

This team is going to better off in the long run. I think this will make this team closer and maybe have a little more of a chip on their shoulder. It has to work that way. One of their brothers just left in the middle of the season. Their backs are now against the wall.

Now, somebody else is going to have to step up. I really feel that Chris Colvin and Scott Christopherson are the two guys we have to look at. I have confidence in both of them and feel they can get the job done.

So again, Fanatics, let’s rise to the occasion and help this team out. I still have some awfully large goals for the 2010 Iowa State Cyclones.

Anything can happen. Do you remember what Tennessee did to Kansas after losing four players a couple of weeks ago?

It’s time for Iowa State to go out and do the same. Yell loud. Be proud.

Go Cyclones!
