It’s good to see Cornell Mann find a landing spot.

The former Iowa State assistant to Fred Hoiberg announced a new gig with Oakland yesterday. He joins the staff of Greg Kampe, where he will go on to be reunited with former Cyclone Sherron Dorsey-Walker.

Mann, a Michigan native, was on Fred Hoiberg’s staff for all five years that "The Mayor" was in Ames. He was not retained by Steve Prohm last summer.

Mann is credited as the man who brought Monte Morris to Ames.
