Does starting new threads really help alleviate the problem of people starting all of these "what if" threads?

    We get the point. Stop.

What if Alger Hiss and the other Soviet Sympathizers hadn't delivered atomic bomb secrets to russia?

What if MacCarney didn't just position for a fieldgoal in the Independence Bowl against Alabama when we were clearly the better team?

What if Iowa would have gotten a bowl pairing against Georgia instead of South Carolina?

What if only votes were counted of legitimate citizens in America and only a single time for each individual breathing human being?

What if the Insight.com bowl trophy wasn't the single most ugly, most disturbing piece of bowling pin tchotchke ever made.

Herbstreit: "Easy, coach, you're getting excited."

    Corso: "Excited. I'm always excited!!"

Thank you, EA Sports. Now we're all in the game.

For the record, I like the sarcasm of the OP in starting this thread.

60% of NFL teams named after birds made it to a Conference Championship game. 80% made the playoffs.
