This site is legit, right??
NCAA Basketball Power Ratings - NCAA BB Team Overall Power Rating
Lol, small sample size. But we're 2-0 against it's Top 25, something nobody else has on that site. Might be why we're listed #1.
IT IS NOW!
Big 12 power...top 3 teams in the nation...
Suck it KU!
So does this mean when we talk about our rankings we can say some people have us ranked as high 1? Like Iowa and there top 5 preseason ranking.......
Ill take it.
That will be more interesting in a couple more weeks. But always nice to recognized for the efforts. ISU has played two tough games back to back and won both. Now refocus and get ready for three games against decent comp after Thanksgiving.
I ranked us #1 in my heart as long ago as last month.
We're #1! We're #1!
Makes more sense than KenPom where we only moved up 3 spots after two wins that are better than any two combined wins by any other team in the nation...while teams who have played sub 300 SOS keep moving up in front of us because of his dumb formula based on not losing players and winning without scoring much. We could probably blow out Duke and Kansas in our next two games and not crack the top 20 in KenPom because we didn't do it with players from last year's team in a defensive struggle, that's basically his formula. You're good if you win with last year's players and/or win without scoring much.
Cool site for stats and trends, cool site for predicting individual game winners and losers although no better than Sagarin predictor, but horrendous system of actually ranking who deserves to be ahead of who according to quality of wins and losses.
I'm taking a screen shot right now- BOOYAH!!!
I don't think anyone in the country has a better road win at this point. And certainly not a better combination of wins.
I've always used teamrankings.com to rank my teams
... and Iowa is the defending national runner-up.
One Cyclone Moment!
This amazing to see...
We're basically the only team with a win over the Top 25 right now in their ranking, much less two of them.
Granted, tiny sample size and weird schedules so far, but, yeah, couldn't ask for a better start to the year.
Top 3 teams are in the Big XII
I know it's a power ratings table, but I wonder about its legitimacy when schools like Indiana and Duke are rated in the 30s.
....eh, who cares? WE'RE #1!
As much as I wish it was legitimate, Duke is 38 and Kentucky is 51. Sorry guys.
