If Vitale likes our chances then I'm worried about the success we'll actually have.

I'll take it. Still think we could use one more scorer for next season.
Big 12 is going to be loaded next year.

at least we are on the national radar long before the season starts, better than last year. not sure a lot of homework went in to this tho.

#34 seems about right. We will have a lot to prove w/ Royce, Scott, and CA gone. I think we have the guys to step in and do it though...

"Korie Lucious will be a plus." Mr. Vitale impresses me once again with his analyses. Not complaining about cracking his pre-season top 40 though!

He'll be shocked when the hawks are Top 5 with Adam freakin' Woodbury coming to town.

I'm just happy to be on the radar so if we have a good non conference run we get credit for it and get a little attention.

A lot of people say they love being the underdog and surprising people but to be honest 7 years is enough of that for me.

    My quick reactions:
    1) What? No Duke for Dukie Vitale in his top 10?
    2) Oh, then I read his analysis of Duke, "Analysis: Even without Austin Rivers, don't count the Dukies out. Coach K will perform more magic"
    3) At least people know who we are.

Yeah, Vitale did not know Woodbury was on the way to Iowa City. The morgue will be slightly noisey.

we've made so much progress in such a short time under freddy.

season 1: picked last, finished last.
season 2: picked eight, finished third.
season 3: looking like most have us picked 5th. legit returning talent, great transfers, good recruits.

nice to start a bit higher up on the b12 mountain for a change.

At what point does it hangs from "post-season" to "pre-season"?

You have KU and BU in the top 10.
Texas, K-State, ISU, and OSU hanging around the top 25.
OU has pretty much their whole team back.
WVU has a bunch of young talent.
    TTU and TCU are turrible.

I could see 7 Big 12 teams in the dance next year.

Thats where I would put us too. #34 seems right. We have a lot to prove again. But just outside the top 25 is nice. Clyburn and Lucious will be key. Three point shooting will again we required to win as we just can't bang inside.

Finished around 30, with losing Scottie, Chris and Royce, a prediction of 34 tells me that Freddie is already getting tremendous respect around the country.

    That never gets old!!

I wish I could jump into a time machine, go back about 15 years, and belly up to a bar with Johnny and just listen to him tell stories. THAT would be heaven. Well, throw in a few blonde coeds as well.
