    If you really want to escape the threat of wildfires move north of the arctic circle. There are no trees and snow covers the landscape most of the year which is not conducive to wildfires.

    That's true, but watch out if you think Fairbanks (2 hrs south of the arctic circle) is far enough north. We have forest fires up here every summer.

    So, then I guess you need to move to Antarctica? I can't imagine them having many wildfires. :biggrin:
