In what was probably one of the most telling situations in the 4th qtr ISU marched something like 38-39 yards in 12 plays eating up 7:12 worth of clock when they got the ball backed up at their own 6 yardline early on in the 4th qtr.

If they punt there from the endzone, ISU may have very well lost the game.

I was at the game and figured it took up 5-6 minutes, but to learn 7:12 got eaten up was astounding. Tiller was 3-4 passibng that drive if im not mistaken. 1 play was called back due to holding.

NU did its part to give that game away, but in crunch time in the 4th qtr after ther blocked FG and then the offensive drive the Clones really came together as a team for the last 15 minutes.

And that is what worries me about other "bend but don't break" defenses. If you are going to play that, you have to be able to manage the clock too. That drive was masterfully coordinated and executed. Had me on the edge of my seat (the short time I was sitting) for 7 minutes.
