Taggart will not go in the first round, he should definitely stay another year at Memphis.

On average, does anyone here know about how many newcomers make NBA rosters each year?? Is it about 2 per team or 60 for the entire league??

First rounders are guaranteed contracts. Second rounders are not. I'd say about half of those chosen in the second round don't end up on NBA rosters after training camp.

What is so ******** about testing the waters without hiring an agent? It could actually help out his game for next year if he decides to come back. I have no problem with players throwing their name in the draft without hiring an agent. Thats why that option is there.

I don't see whats wrong with it at all. He has graduated, the team will be terrible, all the good players and coaches have left him. What does he have to stay for, might as well start making money, here or overseas...

The thing about Tags is staying another year really won't help him out. His ceiling isn't all that high. If he makes it in the NBA it's going to be a 9th-12th man who hustles and grabs a few rebounds. And if he's really graduated, why not? If he can stick with a team for even one year he'll make 450k. I'm guessing that's more than most of us make.

I'm just waiting on this thread to turn into a "How good would we be if we still had Taggert, WJ, etc., etc., etc.?" thread.
