would it be possible to put the away games on our new jumbotron and get people to come and watch the games there? maybe charge $5 a game and seating is first come, first serve. i could definitely see people coming to watch away games if they arent able to go to the actual game. id definitely pay to see it instead of just watching it on my tv at home and now that we have an excellent HD videoboard it would be even better.

    any other thoughts on this?

Sounds like a cool idea, but i doubt youd get enough people there to justify the cost of electricity and such for the video board. Even less the colder it gets.

id think for some of the earlier games you could get a couple hundred if not a thousand or so people out there especially on a decent night (tonight may have been too cold). i wonder if they would be able to sell alcohol at this since its not technically an athletic event being held there. that would draw a ton of people and could make it pretty successful

Agreed. And as I've said before, I think Johnny's would be another story.

Johnnys, or set up a projector somewhere bigger (scheman?)

I doubt many would come up from outside ames though. Easier for a lot of people to just go to a gamewatch closer to home.
