Of "The George Michael Sports Machine" fame, NOT the singer (or the Michael Cera character on Arrested Development).

(original title of thread omitted the word "sportscaster")

I heard this on Dan Patrick Show this morning. His show name rings a bell, but never really knew him or it. Almost got me as I thought you meant the singer.

I remember listening to "The George Michael Sports Final Line" brought to you by Dashes designer mens wear, and Schmidts golden classic beer. (and his co-host Paul McGee) 1982

I used to watch the Sports Machine all the time growing up. Sunday nights on WMAQ in Chicago. Only way to get decent non-local sports highlights in the pre-ESPN days before the proliferation of cable.

That's when I used to watch it, following Mark Giangreco and McMichael (till he was fired).

For those that never saw this show you really missed out. It was one of the best sports summary shows.
