Anybody know anything about Brandon? Size, speed, etc? It seems we've got some good QBs in the system, but since a high school QB is often a very good athlete, he might be able to switch positions and see the field someday.

If coach would have put me in that state championship game, we would of won. No doubt about it.

Was my partner in qb camp. Really quick release and always throws a tight spiral. I don't think his Team was very good in high school, but when he was surrounded with better talent at camp he looked real good. I was also in the same group with luke knott and to me horbach looked like the better qb. Not terribly fast but very accurate and should bed one of the better walk on qb's we've had.

if he has any speed throw him in the running back position where he could run-pass option.. if he has some good hands ,let him take screen passes out of the back field from a slot back position and if he has some size and runs a 4.4 40 and has really
good hands i would try him at wide receiver....

    Oh, I do stuff
    Iowa

If his leg is good we could try him at kicker and let him kick field goals

one thing about iowa state is that he will pay a much lower tuition. many of these small church schools are hurting on their budgets and are not offering scholarships. check
out simpson's ,wartburg's, and luther's cost of attending their schools. it is not cheap.
one of my friends had an alumni from luther call him about donating to luther for a swimming pool when the college had a decent pool already....i guess they r building a beautiful new pool there(olympic size). the guy that was calling him said luther was costing 40,000 dollars per semester now.is that true...no wonder this kid wants to walk on at iowa state...

40k per year, including room and board.

    Financial Aid: Tuition and Fees

Still, that's a lot of money. In-state tuition + r&b at ISU is around 15k.

How about try him as a holder, I'll bet he could complete a 4 yard pass into the wind.

Hmm, maybe we should keep him away from our walk on qb's then. Don't need any scandal in the program right now.

Just think about what a threat he could be if he could both punt and kick FG's. Line him up in a deep shotgun position on 3rd downs. Opponents would go crazy not knowing if he was going to attempt a pass, a drop kick, or a quick kick to turn the game around by gaining field position. Time to dust off the old Murray Warmath scouting films.
