Since it seems Iowa State has a new theme song for this song from the one that was posted on Youtube. Thought it would be fun to see what songs out there best describe's Iowa's season this year.

My votes are for the following:

    1. Beck - Loser
    2. Garth Brooks - Friends in low places.

Maybe you should put that in the Instate Rivals where it belongs.

Dang. Why is everyone obsessing over Iowa, when we have our own team to talk about?

Its called a rivalry. In a rivalry teams generally talk **** about each other all year long. Somehow hawks have convinced a segment of our fanbase that to do what normal rivals do is 'little brother syndrome'. I think people that believe that **** me off almost as much as hawk fans themselves.

Do they still play Back in Black as they run out on the field? They should dig a little deeper in the AC/DC catalog and play Shot Down in Flames as they exit the field.

Is there a reason every post you have made lately is: A. Dooshy B. Holier than thou? Its our biggest and most hated rival if you can't see that than you can't be helped.

Little Brother Syndrome is just an idiotic cop-out for the supposed "big brother" to hedge their disappointment. "yeah we lost because we don't even care about this game, just the B1G games." Pretending you don't care at all about Iowa til next year is just buying into what Hawk fans have been trying to sell.

What's wrong with having a little fun at the expense of a rival your team just beat? If they are going to spout off about how great their team is every year and how bad they will beat us, then I'm going to enjoy every single opportunity I get to make them slam crow.. That's how a rivalry should be.

I can honestly say that Iowa and its fans do care about Iowa State. I can see in the past where Iowa could say Iowa State is little brother. Sometimes it just takes a little while for little brother to get to the point where he beats up big brother. I enjoyed the success that Iowa had over Iowa State. But it is clear to me that Iowa State is not little brother any more, scoreboard tells me that. This year and last tell me at least in football Iowa has no claim to big brother on any team. Basketball I'm optimistic about. I think we're a year away from the NCAA tournament. Freshman are not usually impact players on the Iowa basketball program.
