Seems pretty cut and dry to me. NCAA will probably deny it.

Since this would essentially be reclaiming his true freshman year he's got a pretty good shot. The NCAA seems to be a lot more lenient about that than they are for a 6th year.

That's a big deal for our upper weights. Things should be rounding into shape in 4 years and he could be a big piece of the puzzle.

Colbrays eligibility and development are huge parts to any turnaround that the team needs to make under Dresser. getting back this year is a big first step.

Should be ok'd. Kaid Brock of OkSt had similar situation last year and was granted by NCAA.

This move would basically just preserve his regular redshirt, right?

As of now, he is just taking a regular redshirt and still has 4 years of competition left. If this is approved, he gets another 5 years.

this application would be to get his redshirt back. His redshirt was burnt week one of the season when KJ used him vs NDSU. If the NCAA awards this request it will be like he redshirted the entire season, and will have four years to compete varsity. If he is denied, he will have three years left + a redshirt.
