What a dumpster fire this year is turning into. There needs to be a house cleaning on the offensive side, AFTER signing day.

This is a setback for the program. Nobody expected us to be world-beaters this year, but this is just unacceptable. The fans and stakeholders have stepped up in a major way and THIS is what happens.

We're pretty much back to laughingstock status. Somebody wake me when the nightmare is over.

My mother always used to tell me to never apologize for who you are.

Let's not forget the defense didn't look very good, either. Another 30 or so dropped interceptions and horrible tackling. The two constants of Cyclone Football this year.

I just want some accountability. Perfect example, and I could pick out probably 20 plays from the last 3 weeks, where our guys on 3rd down run a route that's 2 yards short of the sticks.

Tonight. Down 64 points to Baylor and our Tight End is wide open on a 3rd and medium. He catches the ball, but he's 2 yards short of the sticks, dances around, and is tacked right where he caught the ball.

That's just one small example of something that's not unique to the type of offense we run or who the offensive line coach is or which quarterback is in the game.

Plays like that have literally COST US WINS this season. (Not officiating and not injuries). Here we are in the 6th game of the season and we're still making the same little mistakes that should be very simple to fix.

Yea, but Baylor's offense is one of the best in the country. Their defense not so much. They probably could have score 100 tonight had they wanted to. The worst thing you can do against a team like theirs is to continually go 3 and out and put their offense back on the field.

I wouldn't mind so much if we gave up 70 points trying to win the game with onside kicks and going for it on 4th etc. But to not even attempt to get anything going or call a fake punt or anything makes me sad.

I agree 100%. The fans who bought record numbers of season tickets deserve better than this ****.

"Look at the things we did wrong...try to correct those."

I have a feeling this could take awhile. They might want to start the review on the bus to the airport so they finish up by game time next weekend.

He's already shifted to watching samples, since there's no point seeing the same thing 5 times or whatever.

Oh, well. I'm sure that Okie State has nothing to play for, so we've got that.

I'm sure Mess is actually a good guy. I'm sure he cares about how ISU's offense looks and tries his best. However, if it wasn't painfully obvious, it is now he needs to leave or at the very least get a demotion. He's completely out of his depth tonight. ISU had 16 drives (15 without the one at the end), and 7 points. That is unacceptable, you can't spin something like that. Last week, lots of points but lost because the offense didn't capitalize on Tech's mistakes. Like I said last week and got accused of trolling, can you see him helping ISU get to 7-8 win seasons? I can't. For the record, the defense was awful tonight too but this season hasn't been on them as much as the offense.

If anyone wants to see what keeping things simple can do for you, (gulp), see: the Iowa/OSU game today. Iowa simply does pretty well in the trenches, and doesn't need anything spectacular from their specialists to make it a game. They need a QB who can play pass/catch, and a running back who can run forward. Yeah, OSU simply had more when it came to speed on the outside late in the game. But, when an O-line is even remotely decent, the playbook doesn't have to be very complex to simply move the chains and give the team a chance late. They've played that way since Ferentz got there, and while it hasn't always been great, there's still a feeling that they have a chance, because at least they know what they can do well.

Is ISU a passing team? Spread? Running? Option?

The O-line looks AWFUL--they made a marginal Baylor D look like Alabama. People can blame Richardson all they want--the fact that he was able to get first downs tonight was remarkable.

I have enjoyed what Rhoads has done to excite the program and make it interesting, but a 'young' team that was supposed to be the fastest he's had looked like a badly-coached high school team tonight. In mid-October, nobody's young. I really think if Baylor played a decent team they'd get worked from all angles. They're good, but not THAT good.

Another note (and I think these little things go a long way): when your team is down 27-0, it looks even worse when the d-backs are talking s**t to the opposing team after another first down, or even a pass break up. That's completely garbage football, and someone needs to be held accountable for it.

Made himself look really stupid...like he was going to fake a tackler out of place. He just needed to play Woody. Hope never to see that happen again.

There isn't an offense on earth our O-Line could execute. Mess will fall on the sword but everyone who recruited the last couple years should be on the chopping block as well because they've failed miserably.

True, but don't forget our offense sucked with like three NFL guys on it too.
