Are you serious? He is #2 at SS.

Key player IMO. Benton starts at SS, but he has a role at NB as well, which could vacate SS for big portions of the game. I would guess now that Benton stays at SS and CJ Morgan gets more time at NB. We probably don't need a ton of nickel vs UNI (or iowa) anyway.

Standard one-game suspension, but based on the latest depth chart it could have an impact on his battle with CJ Morgan to determine who gets on the field when we go to Nickel (Brooks at SS with Benton shifting to NB or Morgan at NB with Benton staying at SS).

Agreed with CloneIce. My roommate (who works with the team) has mentioned that CJ Morgan will likely be the NB this year while Benton will be our SS in those situations... only time will tell. If an injury occurs Brooks would see time, but I'm guessing he'll only sit out a few games regardless.

I'm hoping your right and Morgan wins the spot since he is a RS Freshman, or one of the other newcomers or younger players. Brooks should be out for one game only, unless ISU FB has changed its policy or he has had other run-ins with the law that we don't know about. The past couple of dozen 1st offence OWIs over the past few years have all resulted in one-game suspensions.
