Preview/Prediction: Iowa State at Oklahoma | News | Football | Cyclone Fanatic
No disrespect but I think even your prediction is wishful thinking. I really hope we keep it close but I think this team was shot after the UNI game and the Texas game was the dagger to this team after the win was taken away.
I can't see it being that close, but your Oklahoma part hits that nail on the head.
apathy. tl;dr. i hate myself now.
Its gonna be a long day
Thanks for that depressing read, CW. I have it at OU 44 ISU 6, but whatever. How about posting the prediction column for the showdown at Hilton so we can have something positive to look forward to going into the weekend?
I predict many well raked lawns across Central Iowa.
Cyclones have a 24-21 lead with 5 seconds to play and have possession of the ball at OU's 1-yard line. In victory formation, Rohach takes a knee, but a pigeon flying overhead poops on the ball at precisely the right moment, and the ball slips from Rohach's fingers. Oklahoma recovers the ball and returns it for a 99-yard touchdown to win 27-24.
Just to one up ya.
OU leads by 3 late in the fourth. ISU drives down inside the OU 1 yard line. On a running play, the OU MLB forces a fumble and starts running the ball the other way. The play is blown dead and the call on the field is that the ISU player was down before the ball came out. After reviewing the play, the officials determine that it was indeed a fumble and they were mistaken by blowing the play dead, and since they were mistaken, they are going to give OU a touchdown. OU wins by 10.
All of this is plausible except the cyclone lead. biggrin:
Thank God this isn't the Oklahoma of old. My guess is they won't be taking us very seriously. That keeps the final "respectable".
A loss and another pitiful offensive performance. I know, out on a limb here.
Glad to see how many of you guys have our players' backs...
Let's finish with a 3 game win streak!
We beat Texas 30 to 24. Texas beat Oklahoma 36 to 20. Therefore, we should whip them by 22.
Prediction: Rhoad Rage 36 / Duh Stoops 14
