If you had to start a NBA team, with knowing what you know now (just kidding!), based off of their careers who would you pick?

Really depends on wh0 the other players on the team would be.

Nope thats the whole part of the question, you don't know who will be on the team along side of them. Simply put who would you rather pick not knowing who else you are going to get.

Did you bet which player would be chosen by the most CF posters?

I was gonna say Bill Russell until I saw the choices.

How many titles does AI have? The answer is Chauncey.

We didnt really specify. Just needed to get some numbers to put to the arguement. I think too many look at strictly stats and make a judgement. Obviously Im for CB

Then this is easy. AI carried a franchise. Billups was a piece to a puzzle.

    Gotta take the franchise player.

I'm surprised more people are picking AI. Guy was about as selfish of a player as there was in the NBA while Billups has a championship ring and usually was associated with teams that won because of his PG play. Iverson may have racked up better individual career stats but Billups has a lot more team accomplishments to show which if I'm running a team I want guys that play together well and win not a superstar who can't play team ball.

By that logic you'd also take Will Perdue over AI.

Not really. Look a little deeper. AI was selfish and a locker room cancer. Chauncey seemed to be more of a leader and team player.

Then the number of titles argument you used before is bogus.

Ok, ya got me. The argument was bogus. I still would prefer Chauncey. Better?

How many titles does Jim Kelly have? The answer is Trent Dilfer.

Yes, your second reason made sense. Your first reason didn't.

Is the object to win a title or put up a bunch of numbers?
