I think we have the potential to start off 3-5 and 13-8 overall. That would be a great start, with more winnable games to come later in the year.

I'd say 3-5 as well. OSU and TT should be winnable, and hopefully we'll pull one upset off. Probably one of the Texas games.

I agree that 3-5 is most likely, but I think Texas is very winnable making 4-4 possible with another more difficult upset somewhere else.

I'd agree with 3-5. It would be nice to grab a road win at Texas or A&M to get to 4-4, though.

2 and 6. Hopefully Hilton will be rocking, so far this year it has been really really quiet. First time I have had season tickets since college in the 90s and wow has it changed.

4-4. I think Hilton helps will us to a win vs KU as well. I also think we have a shot against A&M, but we will probably drop a more winnable one at some point.

I think we have an outside shot at home against Kansas. But I'll go 3-5.

Its been like this for the last 5 years. The student section in the Iowa game this year was maybe the biggest Ive seen in years. Even the upper deck student section was almost half full.

    In preseason, I had L-L-W-L-W-W-L-L

    Now: W-L-L-L-W-W-L-L

So, 3-5 either way — swapped Texas W at home instead of Missouri. Still might be mildly surprised winning the opener, even with UT iffy and at home, but I'll be optimistic.

I had hoped we could finally see at split with KU this season, I could see it happening.

Could this have been done as first 9 (first half of season)? --- or maybe we're all still in mindset of 16-game schedule.

You guys shouldn't have any problem disposing of OSU at your place.

It appears that way now, but we've thought similar things with other teams in the past.

At minimum, I'd like to sweep at least one conference team that seems at or below ISU's "level." OSU may or may not be such a team, but that's one candidate.

Nebraska is the only team ISU has been able to sweep for several years, to my knowledge. I would have to check to see how long since that happened.

    Texas - W

    OSU - W

@ Texas, and OSU are the critical games. If we can win on the road at Texas, and beat OSU at home, we could go 4 - 4. Texas is really young outside of J'Covan Brown. OSU is talented, but has looked disjointed so far (similar to us). If we play good defense in both of these games, I think we could go 4 - 4. It goes without saying that a particularly good night in 3 pt land means we could win a game we aren't planning on, or a really bad night beyond the arc, and we could lose a game we shouldn't. Will be fun - I'll be watching every game!

Yeah, but we have untapped potential as we have not played at the peak of our game. If we cut down turnovers, do out of bound plays, shoot free throws well, and shoot threes, we can do better.

I think we win the first two and go 4-4 with an outside chance of 5-3 if we beat KU at home. The only sure loss would be Missou and we have them at home so who knows. Kansas is young and does not have the talent they have had in recent years. They are still a top 10-15 team, but not the Kansas we are used to. A&M isnt that good, they have a lot of size experience, but talent wise we should be able to out match them.
