Why do they still hand these things out? Mine goes straight to the recycle bin.
Even better when you get 2 or 3 of them. Save the planet, don't print them anymore.
But don't try to ban them...

I'm going to guess primarily old people.
I still get 2 or 3 each year. Half the time they are delivered on a rainy day so you get one with water damage. Such a waste of resources.
This woul be the only argument but I think my grandma still uses her phone old phone book which is at least 20 years old.
Mine too. Literally went from the front step to the recycling without making it inside.

*Full disclosure: Packers fan, but I can laugh about this.
They charge businesses an arm and leg for listings too. We've been slowly phasing them out.
I do feel sorry for their salespeople though. It has to be like beating the pavement selling horse buggies after the Model T came out.

Obviously an initiative to get people to recycle more, mission accomplished.
It can't be too expensive if you think about it but sponsoring some youth team or donating money in the community would probably be better alternatives.
When someone hands me a flyer, it's like they're saying here, you throw this away.

In my office building there is a Yellow Pages office across the atrium from my office. It is surrounded by internet retail companies in the building.
Do you get preferential listing on the Yellow Pages website if you advertise in their paper book? Like, if your plumber buys a more expensive ad than another plumber, does Plumber A get listed/recommended?
I don't know about all of them, but from the ones I've discussed web presence with in detail, they have a separate web fee for something like that. You get something very basic, but to improve your ad positioning, I'm pretty sure it's extra.
