I'm not getting a satellite signal right now. I didn't do the Pam thing that has been suggested a billion times on here. Yes, yes, I know, it was stupid of me. My question now - how do I fix it? I honestly don't have a problem getting on the roof tomorrow, I used to build grain bins and it's not like I haven't walked around on wet/icy steel much, much higher in the air than my dish.

How hard can I touch the dish? I don't want to mess anything if I have to wipe the stuff off hard. Should that be a concern?

(FYI, for you "you shoulda got cable!" people, I lost service with mediacom in the heat of summer with clear blue skies many times.)

Just wipe the face of the dish off, you should be fine.

Make sure you look both ways for raccoons before climbing up there and exposing your face

Take a broom or a brush like you probably have on the ice scraper for your car.

The dishes can be moved, but takes some serious effort. Remember they can handle some fairly strong winds and still have reception.
