To all of you curling fanatics, NBC hired former Olympian John Benton (was the lead on the 2010 Olympic team skipped by John Shuster, Team USA's skip this year) to announce the matches. He's one of the better announcers and you will probably enjoy his take and insight.

It's amazing to me that they built a 40,000 seat venue just for the opening and closing ceremonies. Why not hold some Olympic events in there?

this is a bit odd, but should have some good music and ballet I would assume.

Come on Russia! First the construction doesn't get done in time and the hotels suck, and now you have technical difficulties during the Opening Ceremonies. haha

I really do wonder what the other choices were. Kabul or somewhere in Nigeria?
